About Me
March 19th, 2009 by Nicole Battista

I am a graduate of Albion College with a major in Spanish and a minor in Political Science. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my BA from Albion in May 2010 after completion of my Student Teaching semester at Marshall High School in Marshall, MI. I taught for over three years as the Middle School Spanish teacher and department chair at St. Regis Academy. Since starting my family, I have continued to substitute teach as well as tutor. I completed my Graduate practicum teaching ESL at Walled Lake Central High School.

My endorsements in the state of Michigan are in Spanish (FF-language, grammar, culture) and Government/Political Science (CD-Political Science, American Government, Government, Civics, Contemporary World Issues, American Problems, Current Events) for grades 6-12. I also have completed my MATESOL (Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and my ESL endorsement (NS) at Madonna University with a 4.0 GPA.

I have spent a lot of time in various classroom settings and I lived, studied, and taught in Madrid, Spain at the Universidad Juan Carlos III. My passions in life are kids, learning, and languages! When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading a good book and doing Spanish translation work. I also love spending time with my husband and son, enjoying the lake, playing volleyball and tennis, traveling, and staying an active alumna of Kappa Alpha Theta.
