We will leverage the amazing opportunities afforded by working with the companion species in a pristine environment to examine our conceptions of “teaching” and “learning.” We will use excerpts from the works of Peter Kahn, Donna Haraway, and Rachel and Stephen Kaplan to frame our thinking about human cognition in relation to the environment and companion species.
