Anne Seyferth

Thank you for taking a look at my digital portfolio!

I am a teacher because I enjoy working hard and I want to influence kids to become passionate and well-rounded learners. It is very important to me that students learn about diversity, learn to be tolerant of others, and learn to be passionate about social studies issues. It is my philosophy to teach students how to think, not what to think. I want my students to experience meaningful, interesting learning that applies to their lives. I try to incorporate hands-on activities, cooperative learning group work, an integrated curriculum that specializes in literacy, and technology.

While studying at Albion, I have had the opportunity to observe and teach in several very diverse school districts. I have been able to work with students coming from various backgrounds, racial and economic. I also have experience working with students that have a wide range of learning disabilities and abilities. This range of has allowed me to learn and grow as a beginning teacher, and also feel prepared to teach in a multicultural classroom.

One of the most exciting things about teaching is that it is always changing and I can always improve myself as an educator. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, hard working teacher who will make a positive contribution to your school district.

Please take a look around!
